Incubating climate solutions through art
At the heart of the ClimArts Studio is a scaffolding—one that supports you in expanding your creative practice to become powerful communicators of climate understanding. This one-year incubator is designed for artists who are passionate about contributing to climate solutions through compelling, evidence-based storytelling.
By deepening your ability to engage audiences and translate complex ideas into emotional, accessible narratives, you'll become part of a growing movement that sees climate communication as a vital climate solution. ClimArts is your space to experiment, collaborate, and craft stories that not only inform—but inspire action.

Voices of the Studio
Fragmented is a ballet-based docu-film that tells the story of coral reefs through movement, music, and science. Guided by a poetic letter from a coral reef scientist to a dancer, the film traces a journey from the devastation of coral bleaching to the possibilities of resilience and regeneration. Performed by Ann Wall, a freelance dance artist, teacher, and researcher trained at the English National Ballet School and Royal Ballet School Associate Programme, Fragmented merges emotional expression with scientific insight. Created in collaboration with Professor Christopher Golden’s Planetary Health Research Group at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès, Fragmented invites viewers to see coral reefs not just as ecosystems, but as metaphors—and calls on us to support their recovery as we would our own.
Take My Breath Away is a stand-up comedy based docu-film that tells the story of Sakdiyah and her family’s search for refuge in facing challenges of climate crisis from tidal floods to thick air pollution in the city that “takes her breath away.” Sakdiyah and her family finally settled in a village where they are building bamboo houses and witnessing firsthand how bamboos are not only sustainable, but also absorbs carbon even when they are already a building material, different from her old apartment in the city which only absorb her money, Sakdiyah would joke. Performed by Sakdiyah Ma’ruf, a stand-up comic, community organizer, and one of the BBC 100 Women, this personal, emotive, reflective, and funny, laughing through the climate crisis comedy, will call us to reflect our own journey in changing climate, and considering alternative ways of life engaging with more sustainable materials nature provide such as bamboo. The stand-up comedy set is developed during ITG (Inside the Green House) Climate Comedy.
